[In all honesty, it's not so much that Katsuki doesn't know how to use it - it's a phone, after all, and he's a modern-age city boy - but the fucking this is so old that half the functions he's used to are nowhere to be found. [The chocolates are moderately spicy, he couldn't help making them a bit more spicy to mess with Katsuki a little. They are made of dark chocolate and also have a hint of orange.]

Regardless, the chocolates are found, and thank god there's a card...because Katsuki would have been extremely wary of them after the horsecrap that happened with Vaeros' feast at his castle - they probably would have been tossed. And while he isn't a fan of sweet normally (he has a very low interest in them), they suit his tastes very well. Bittersweet dark chocolate with a hint of spice and a tang of orange. Not bad at all.

...But now he has to get this bastard something, too. Sigh...at least he was planning to do this anyway.]

[ Katsuki will find a present sitting outside his door, wrapped in black wrapping paper with purple bows. Inside a box is an oyster knife forged by Blake. On top of the present sits a bamboo case with freshly made spicy tuna dumplings. ]

[Eilonwy will turn up a few days before Christmas, carrying a package wrapped in green and gold wrapping paper. She's been busy to put it lightly, but she's found a good rhythm to making her gift giving rounds. She approaches the front door and knocks politely.] Hello, Bakugou. It's Eilonwy, I've brought you a gift!

[There's a shuffle on the other side of the door, a muffled "hold on", and then the door opens to reveal the young Hero in some sweats and a long sleeve, a broom and rag off to the side as he was apparently doing some tidying up. Now that there's four people in the cottage, he's kind of pressed to keep the space clean with everyone coming in and out all the time, and guests keep pouring in for the holidays, too.]

Haah? But it's not Christmas yet. [Also why?]

[Thor's gift for Bakugou is a traditional Viking drinking horn, made from an elk he caught in the forest, and intricately-carved with dragons, serpent, and fire imagery. There's also runic down the side, and a note tucked into the horn.]

One thing any good hero does a lot of is celebrate their victories, and I think you got a lot of those comin'. Now you got somethin' appropriate for those occasions. Sure I don't need to tell you this, but I'm gonna anyway; don't go crazy with this. Trusting you on that. Oh yeah, case you ain't up on your runes, the writing down the side means "Fire-Hearted". A warrior's name oughta reflect their most notable quality after all. Havin' a bit of a to do end of the month, gonna cook up some stew, have some people over. Be good to see you there, Fire-Heart.

Christmas Delivery

[For Katsuki, he gets something very different than almost everyone else. It was very hard to think of what to do for him. Katsuki doesn't really do sweets, which is why Alice doesn't bother with the cookies that she's been giving everyone else. But underneath the Christmas tree that he got her, are several gifts. She still gives him a little handmade Christmas Pixie though his cap is orange so it matches Katsuki's superhero uniform. He still gets a bag of homemade potpourri that smells of tea and lemon because she knows how much he likes things to be clean.

All of her visits to Katsuki's house were not JUST for fun (or for her many lessons) Alice did her very best to draw All Might holding their dragon, Riot, surrounded by cherry blossoms.

And, in a little bento box with more painted sakura blossoms on it are three onigiri that she clearly made, they're a bit wobbly and the rice is falling off in some places, the seaweed pieces are barely hanging on and there won't be any filling. But they're for him all the same.

And she's absolutely trouncing him with her new chess set as she sips from her new bunny teacups.

[On Christmas Day, after she's recovered from, well, that, Jasmine drops off on Katsuki's window sill a seemingly more modest package. At the top is a box full of an assortment of brand new kitchen tools for both Japanese and Persian cooking: a mortar and pestle, a mesh skimmer, a set of metal skewers, a ceramic grater, a full sushi-making kit, and a rice serving plate. The Persian dishes are what she recalls from the palace kitchen, while she's carefully observed Katsuki's own cooking habits for the Japanese ones. Under the box is simply a notebook that includes several prompts inside, not too dissimilar to the ones you'd find in this kind of book, only handwritten by presumably Elias from the stationary store.

Tucked in the book is a card inside a wax-sealed envelope with Katsuki's full name scribed in elegant cursive on the front, in both Roman and Persian (كاتسوكي باكوغو) alphabet. (She doesn't know kanji, sorry.) The card's message reads:]

Bakugou,

I can't begin to detail all I want to say to you, so I will be brief. You're a true hero and I cannot thank you enough for everything you've done while we're here.

Even if you are horribly indecent sometimes.

[The last part was clearly added on later - probably after she saw his gift.]

You have a lot of feelings you keep to yourself - so the book is to let you channel them somewhere. You don't ever have to share it with anyone; I will never ask you to tell me what you write. Just know it's okay to be open about what others mean to you.

He was able to buy the copy from the Raven's Quill, though there are a few recipes that are jotted down personal from both Pike and himself. Exquisite Exandria. THere is also a note: 'Please enjoy this collection of recipes from Exandria, I have noted the recipes from the Dynasty though there are many good recipes there, I do suggest the Moss Cupcakes, they are especially delicious.' -E.Thelyss ]

[In the midst of the holiday rush, Bakugou will receive a package from one Meryl Stryfe. In it, there’s a handheld drum, made of local materials. It’s more meant for Goblin culture than anything Bakugou is familiar with, but maybe he’ll be able to learn. There’s also what appears to be a first draft of a job application? Looks like De Niro Publishing is looking for a Junior Reporter.

Finally, there seems to be a - is that a small piece of coal? Where could that have come from!

Like with his own gift, there’s no note. Just a mutual show of respect.]

[Katsuki receives the same thing all others have received thus far. Delivered to his door by hand he will get a box. Inside, it is filled with goodies to help survive the winter. There are two candles, one made of beeswax, bright and yellow, another is scented with cinnamon, orange, and pine. Next to the honey wand is a whole jar of honey that came from Aurora's bees, much like the beeswax honey. But it's not just honey and nuts, there is a sweet treat as well. Raspberry tarts are wrapped up safely to ensure they do not crumble.

But this is Katsuki, there is an extra gift for him. Next to the box is a bright orange and black camping backpack to allow him to go and train for several days away from it all, should he so choose.

In the box is a letter with elegant handwriting:]

Warmest and Joyous Yule Greetings to you, dearest Katsuki.
May this help get you through winter to spring's awakening.
I know there are times you wish to test yourself to the limits, I hope this backpack will assist you to go on that journey to test those limits.

Shoto hasn't been here long enough to do much, but he has made an effort for Bakugo, Uraraka and of course Midoriya.

He honestly isn't the best gift giver, and the gift that he's giving is thought out as something he thinks Bakugo could use, or might use. It's a set of hand weights, nothing too heavy, but if he just tried to pick up the poorly wrapped items, he's going to learn right away what they are. It's not as pretty as those lovely cups, but he wants it to be practical, too.

The letter reads:

[ Inside the box he'll find a pressed flower bowl. The bowl itself is actually pretty deep and sturdy, and despite the flowers it's smooth inside. It seems like it would make a pretty decent mixing bowl, at least. ]

[On the morning of the 25th, Bakugou will be left a small basket, a simple blank card, and a plain cake box. In the basket are an assortment of various cookies and confections made by Aladdin himself- they're competent and sincere, even if they're not exactly masterfully crafted. In the cake box is a simply made and frosted strawberry shortcake- it tastes like he found a recipe and followed it- it's nothing adventurous, but it's at least carefully crafted.

I've gotten a lot of practice cooking this year, and since you were the one who first taught me it seemed fair for you to see how far I've come. I hope I picked the right cake. It's a lot harder to find anything about Christmas in Japan.

It's easier for me to type this than to say it. I don't always know what to say so if I type it out, I can see it and correct it hopefully with better accuracy. You are my friend, one of my best friends. I also know that you've gone very out of your way to take me into your home. Being brought to someone's place to rest is one thing, but you've allowed me to exist in your living room since the first day you brought me there to spare me being further overwhelmed. You know this, I know this. You could've left me there and gone home, told me to meet you anywhere else, a multitude of things and you didn't. There is nowhere that should be more sacred than someone's home. I know this first hand.

Instead you brought me somewhere safe that I knew I wouldn't have to sleep lightly. That's something I don't like doing anymore and yet find myself very in practice doing still. What I'm trying to say is, it is more than enough for me and I thank you for it.

It may be easier for you to read this, too, now that I'm thinking of it. I know you don't enjoy this sort of thing face to face. I don't think I could've said it to you face to face either. It looks like we both have a lot to work on and maybe in the coming year we can do that. We don't have to talk about this message either, but I wanted to make myself and my gratitude clear as well.

[This was a little unexpected... Katsuki didn't want to really address all of what happened after that bullshit banquet and ball that Vaeros threw a while back. He didn't want to even think about how half the reason he passed out, and passed out hard, after was because he was so wrung out emotionally. Both Todoroki and Deku forgot who he was, forgot everything in the case of Izuku, and Katsuki would be lying if that didn't effect him pretty badly. It's one thing to have them disappear, he at least knows his friends are in a place where they belong, but having them forget their memories, their very selves...that's truly torturous. He doesn't ever want that to happen to them again.

So this text, so sincere and heartfelt, hits extra hard after all of that. It makes Katsuki feel tight, but not necessarily in a bad way. Not the way he felt when his two friends, yes friends, forgot who he even was. This tightness doesn't feel constricting and painful, it's almost...soft. Warm. Like a hug.

He reads it, and rereads it, and rereads it again, not having anything to say back because Todoroki is right - he doesn't enjoy these things, face to face especially but even in text it's difficult for him to put what he feels into words. But Todoroki knows, he already said it all in his message. Katsuki's done all this - housed all of them and even made renovations to his home - to keep them all together under one roof, because he wants to share his space and his presence with them, his friends. His best friends. He doesn't need to say anything back, so he doesn't. They know, he's already shown them how important he thinks they are, and how much he cares about them. It feels a little cheap, but...he's not quite at the point where he can say things from the heart with such confidence. Katsuki needs just a little bit more of a push in the right direction, a little more time on his journey.

He saves the message, and makes a mental note to stop by Meryl's printing shop to have the thing printed out, so he can have something more physical to hold on to. This message is important, it means something, so Katsuki wants to keep it in hardcopy form.]

[Katsuki is...dubious about this steam mug of liquid he is staring at, where Todoroki's message said it would be. It doesn't appear to be oozing or bubbling like it was scooped from the outhouse of a swamp witch, nor does it smell like toxic waste, either. In fact, it actually looks and smells very appealing, like actual fucking coffee, but he knows not to judge a book by its cover. Carefully, Katsuki nabs a plastic teaspoon from a toy tea set he keeps in his room for when Alice comes over (he had to move all her stuff to his room to clear out space in the spare), and mixes it into the liquid.

Huh...even the consistency seems good, smooth and not thick, or ch-chunky...eugh. Tentatively, Katsuki brings the mug to his lips and takes a teensy sip.]

[Go figure this poor little shmuck picked the hottest thing on the table. Katsuki actually stops eating completely, raising a brow at he watches that bite of, flaming hot chicken go from plate to unsuspecting taste buds with the reckless abandon of a young fool who has no idea what he's getting himself into. However! For what it's worth, the chicken is quite good - succulent and tender, with a burst of flavor from that sauce it's been cooked in. Problem is, that flavor is like licking hot, smoking magma...

The blond snorts loudly, covering his mouth with his hand before tilting his head back and absolutely cackling. My guy, he warned you!! He literally said it'd be spicy, it was your own damn fault you didn't heed that. At least he has the decency to slide a cup of milk toward the kid, because water's only going to do so much to kill that heat as it spreads like a plague all over his face.]

[He is grinning, wild and huge, shoulders shaking as he barely contains the snickers.] And that's 'fire chicken'. [ Alberto accepts the offered milk, picking it up with both hands and downing the whole glass, some of it even dribbling in his haste. There totally aren't tears in his eyes, no... He slams the cup down on the tabletop just as he had the water, now expecting it to refill magically (though maybe confused about how the magic is more about the table than the slamming) and downs another glass of milk. This one he sips with slightly less urgency, though his breathing is still sharp and deep between gulps, nostrils flaring as he inhales. His gaze is focused on his milk until he finishes, but then lands on Katsuki to finally acknowledge how he's laughing at his pain... Alberto sure isn't laughing. This was unpleasant. ]

Hehhhh... Phew... Holy shrimp... I-It's not funny, guy...! Jeez... H-How can you eat that?!

[ He calls Katsuki "guy" pointedly, as if it's his name, though also a bit disdainfully. His voice is still breathy from the lingering spiciness, but the milk did help considerably. No thank you, though; he's still feeling betrayed... ]

Certainly, she teased him and he, in turn, returned it as good as she gave. He didn't change- well no, there were SOME changes, but he didn't compromise his being for the sake of others, and look how many still stood proudly by his side regardless, herself among the numbers!]

You're right! [She blushed furiously about what she was about to say but, what better way to prove her point that she had heard and absorbed what Katsuki was teaching her?] Fuck them!

[She immediately pressed her hands over her mouth, looking around and waiting for the inevitable punishment of being so deeply crass. She prayed no one told Gamora or mama about her saying this later.]

Sorry to bother you, it's just that, well... Alice's birthday party is tomorrow and I still haven't gotten anything for her yet... I was trying to think of something she might like but... you know her a lot better than I do so I was hoping you could give me some ideas...?

Not like you to leave shit until the last second, nerd, but this is pretty easy - she's a little kid, a little *girl*, use your imagination.

Dolls and toys, obviously, are going to be a big hit. Maybe a stuffed cat - those are her favorite animals, I'm pretty sure. Candy of course is any kid's wet dream to get on any given occasion, and tea is a big one too, since she's from the West. England, if I remember right, so that shit's running through their blood as much as it is ours. Avoid tea sets, I'm sure she got a few for Christmas already, but tea leaves and bags will work, and maybe a cute tea infuser. She would LOVE that crap.

New clothes, dresses especially. I was planning to get her a sundress and some sandals, or just springtime shoes in general. Maybe a sunhat.

Lastly, a book of riddles, since she's smart as hell for her age. She likes chess, is DAMN good at it, but I've already given her a fancy set so don't bother with that. Oh, and maybe some gardening tools and starter seed bags, she said she's been wanting to get into gardening for a while, but her mom back home wouldn't let her get dirty.
