[Bakugou gets it. Normally Eilonwy would just leave it someplace but she wants to do that here.]
Thank you. [She'll hold the door open long enough to slip inside before her shoes come off, placed where they had been before, and some house shoes are slipped into.]It is very cold, so I hope this helps with it, at least.
[For a moment, Katsuki actually thinks she's talking about it being cold outside - which it is - and approaches the wood stove to toss a log onto the already burning fire to heat the place up some more, but then realizes she's talking about the gift she brought. O-Oh...right, that. He should probably open that while she's here, huh?
With about as much grace as a bulldog devouring a steak, he tears through the wrapping and lifts the top off the the little box, blinking at the rather cozy looking scarf below. He picks it up to feel the material, and if pleased that it's soft and almost silky, not coarse or scratchy.]
Oh...I needed one of these. [He was just so distracted that he never picked one up for himself.]
[Eilonwy just watches as the wrapping paper turns into confetti and smiles once he sees the scarf] Oh, good! I was worried you would have bought one by now. That's why I noted that your house is fairly warm-- the scarf is more for outside use, but it's not so thick that it will be uncomfortable if you wear it indoors.
[Humming slightly, just to acknowledge that Eilonwy spoke, Katsuki takes the scarf out fully, noting that it's actually a nice length, too. Not too long that he's tripping over it, but not short that he can't do a fancy knot around his neck to guard his face.]
Probably won't wear it inside unless I need to, but it'll help a lot for when I'm out and not in my suit. [The high neck-line of his winter outfit serves kind of this purpose, but he's not always in his Hero suit - Katsuki does have periods of time where he just goes out in his casual clothes, and he does try to take breaks from his training and patrols, too.] You get this from Threads, or the old bat he's putting out of business?
[Eilonwy blinks] No, neither of those- I bought the yarn a while ago when I was learning and made it. I've been working on a small mountain of them since then to get everything finished ahead of now. [But she brightens at hearing it'll help.] Good! I didn't want it to be uncomfortable. I'm glad it can serve a purpose then.
[For him?? Katsuki blinks, looking down at the scarf and feeling a little bizarre. Buying someone a scarf is one thing, but making it is something else. He feels the tips of his ears get a little warm, and his skin get kind of itchy. Urgh...how annoying. You sappy bastards are going to be the death of him.]
[Eilonwy smiles. If Bakugou actually does die from the sap, she's got healing powers. It'll work out.]
It is, the yarn is very nice. [Translation back: You're welcome.] But I'm sure you have some work to get back to, so I don't want to overstay my welcome.
...Hold on. [Katsuki grunts, because he doesn't feel good about taking something without giving something back. Yes, he knows that's not how gifts work, and he does have something planned to give to Eilonwy on actual Christmas day, but...fuck it, he can give her something early, too.
Puttering over to his kitchen, Katsuki opens up a cupboard and removes a rather plain looking tin. Very unassuming, and there's even a label on it that says "salt". Inside is, uh...definitely not salt, but a baggy of various chocolate dipped pretzels - white, dark, milk, and even strawberry and orange.]
[Eilonwy takes the tin, reading the label and looking at him for a second before popping it open and seeing the treats. She lights up.] Oh! Thank you very much, Bakugou! They look wonderful, I'm sure they'll go well with tea.
[Maybe not but Eilonwy will test that theory happily.]
[Tea...maybe, if she drinks an especially rich, black tea. Maybe a chai, with a lot of spices and a rich kind of smoothness to it. Otherwise, coffee will be the best bet - the saltiness and rich chocolate will go really well with the bitterness of coffee, especially something strong like an espresso. Katsuki does kind of lament giving his own personal stash, but...he can get more. Not big deal, and he won't make a fuss, either. Probably best not to have them around when someone with an enormous sweet tooth is now in the house, too.
Yes, he's talking about Uraraka. >:C He's got your number, Cheeks.]
[Eilonwy's tea is pretty strong but probably not enough to go with the pretzels. She makes a note to get some coffee on the way back.
Wow just read your friend Bakugou! Anyway, Eilonwy closes the tin and smiles.] Coffee, then. Now, as I said, I'm sure you're busy and the gifts have been exchanged so.
[She heads back to the front door, steps out of the house slippers, and changes back into her shoes.] I'll speak with you again soon, I'm sure.
[It won't be difficult to get coffee here, thank fucking god. The cafes in Somnius are good, and serve some really nice blends as well as bags of roasted whole beans and grounds, too. He has a bag of grounds (because he doesn't have a grinder yet), but Katsuki doesn't often drink coffee, it's a rare thing for him and usually when he's out and needs a pick-me-up of energy he'll stop by a cafe and get something to go.
Humming, he walks Eilonwy back towards the door and opens it for her when she's got her shoes back on. Look, he can't be...kind of a gentleman. Sometimes. Maybe...a little. Look, just he grateful he's not tossing you out on your ass, okay? :|]
If I manage to finish early, you'll catch me on patrol, probably. [He shrugs.] Later.
[And with a nod, Katsuki bids Eilonwy goodbye and closes the door to get back to cleaning.]
